La Lune | Levitating Moon Lamp

The moon, unhooked from the sky. It floats above its base on an invisible magnetic field, turning slowly, lit from within. Nothing touches it. Nothing holds it. Only attraction keeps it in the air, and attraction is the thing this house is named after.

Floating it, the first time:

Center the moon above its base, feel the magnetic field push back against your hand, and let go. It takes a minute of patience the first try, like most things worth keeping. After that, it simply floats.

Materials & care:

Iron arc frame in black or gold, glowing 3D moon shade, magnetic levitation base, LED light source. Dust with a dry cloth. Keep the base away from other magnets, metal surfaces and magnetic cards. Contains strong magnets: keep away from pacemakers.

Size & weight:

Base and moon together stand about 30 cm tall. Boxed at 31 x 16.5 x 16.5 cm, roughly 0.8 kg. Substantial on a desk or nightstand, still light enough to move anywhere.
